The recent gathering at the historic Reform Club in London served as a poignant reminder of the bonds that transcend decades and geography. Over three hundred alumni, ranging from the Class of 1965 to the Class of 2022, shared a meal that felt less like a formal dinner and more like a homecoming. The air was thick with stories of the hills and the shared hardships of winter mornings that forged our collective identity.
Strengthening the Global Network
During the keynote address, the Chapter President emphasized the importance of the London hub as a gateway for South Asian talent. The discussion focused on how the Association can better support young professionals arriving in Europe for higher education or career placement. It was heartening to see senior partners in global law firms offering direct guidance to recent graduates during the post-dinner reception.
A Commitment to Excellence
The evening concluded with the announcement of a new bursary fund specifically for descendants of alumni who wish to return to the school for their final years. This initiative highlights the Association's commitment to ensuring that the legacy of an Abbottonian education remains accessible. The spirit of the night proved that while we may move far from our roots, the roots remain firmly planted in our shared history.
